Bryce Harper gets the cover of Sports Illustrated this week.
Can’t we all just get along? I feel like I’m running a police blotter here today.
Nyjer Morgan gets an 8-game suspension, in addition to the 7 he is already appealing. Chris Volstad gets 6, Alex Sanabia 5, Gaby Sanchez 3, Doug Slaten 3.
I got no problem with [Morgan stealing the bases]. We decide when we run. The Florida Marlins will not decide when we run. We will decide when we run. Nobody will decide when we run
Jim Riggleman on Nyger Morgan stealing 2nd and 3rd while down 11.
Besides, have you seen the Fish’s bullpen? I wouldn’t quit either.
By the way, there is nothing wrong with Morgan trying to take out the catcher at home either. That’s how you play baseball.
Am I the only one taking Nyjer’s side here? His team is down 11 runs in only the 4th inning. He should do anything it takes to get his team back in the game. I don’t care about your stupid unwritten rules. Maybe if it was the other way around, sure, I would be pissed if the other team was up 11 and still stealing bases, but that isn’t the case here.
What say you?

BREAKING : Stephen Strasburg has "significant tear" in elbow, will likely need Tommy John surgery. →
Wow. A devastating blow to the rookie phenom and for baseball in general.
Strasburg was able to throw a day after injuring his arm, lending hope to worried Nats fans that his injury was more serious than first reported. The Nationals said they were “encouraged” by his progress. He has not been shut down and will have an MRI. Either way, it would make the most sense for the team to shut him down and be cautious with the young phenom rather than risk further injury.
Welcome to the bigs. Try pulling that crap up here, rookie.
If he doesn’t want to play here, then we don’t want him here. That’s the bottom line.

All the way.
