He beat cancer, after being told to forget football & maybe even walking ever again. He went undrafted. When the NFL returned from it’s lockout, he chose to sign with the Giants, making the squad out of training camp. While he may have been inactive tonight, as his teammates won the Lombardi trophy, there is no doubt that his life’s story can be defined by just one word tonight. Champion

Oh, while you’re watching that video, remember that I also told you, “Close game until the 4th qtr., when ‘Good Eli’ hits Nicks with a bomb to put the game away.”, while disregarding the 3rd qtr./4th qtr. discrepancy. Sometimes my crystal ball gets a little hazy.

It will ALSO be remembered for Giants WR Victor Cruz and his three TD performance in the second half. The Jets led 13-10 at the half, then most starters on both sides sat. Cruz made a name for himself. One that may carry into a nice role for him in 2011 wit the departure of Steve Smith. Jets QB Mark Sanchez threw an interception on his first pass attempt to the newly acquired safety Antrelle Rolle, setting up a Brandon Jacobs TD, and early Giants 7-0 lead.
