1. fuckyeanba: Kevin Love’s bigfoot moment against Luis Scola during their 100-91 victory  last night at the Target Center in Minneapolis, means he might have a suspension in his future, which is quite a blow for the streaking Timberwolves. They’ve won 5 of their last 7 including victories over Houston—twice, San Antonio and Dallas. But, to compound Love’s Ndamukong Soh moment in front of his home crowd last night, he was also omitted from the western conference all-star starters (sorry, but I think he should have gotten the nod over Blake).  Just know, after watching the clip a few times and reading some commentary, it seemed purposeful, even though Love claimed to Jerry Zgoda and Kent Youngblood of the Star-Tribune, it was accidental. “‘He was kind of right there,’ Love said. ‘I have size-19 feet. He just happened to be there. I had nowhere to go. I kind of tripped up. I just had nowhere to step. It was a heat-of-the-moment type play. He was there and it happened to be his face.’ Love said he and Scola have a good relationship, and was sure Scola didn’t take it personally. ‘And obviously it was nothing personal against their team,’ Love said. ‘… Nothing personal, just heat of the moment.’” Joanthan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle doesn’t believe Love’s recounting of the incident, and appears convinced a one-game suspension is in Love’s future once Stu Jackson sees the replay. Despite their best efforts, Kevin Love and the Timberwolves should have no chance of convincing the NBA it was just a Love tap. Love went Savion Glover on Luis Scola’s face. Love might be one of the league’s best young players, but the league presumably still frowns on players treating other players’ faces as starting blocks. Knowing he is in jeopardy of getting hit with a suspension – and this should be a no-brainer one-game suspension — Love did his best to spin the answer. We’ll know what Jackson rules tomorrow, but I’m leaning towards Feigen’s anger, even though Scola was more upset by the non-call of the referees, who missed the foot stomp, then Love’s purpose. The face to foot moment (on purpose or not) briefly enlivened the Rockets, but Minnesota went on to win again.
